On April 20th,2009 the Monday Night Phone Mtg, ( Now ” HOME GROUP”) had a Special Business Mtg to discuss Service, and the concept of home group. There was a lengthy Agenda and it was understood that we as a group would get through as much of it as we could. The mtg began at 8:30pm EST as usual with one of our regular committed members starting the mtg off with offering a monument of silence followed by the serenity prayer.
A second member than joined in and read the ABA preamble up until the welcoming newcomers and individual introductions of group members portion of the mtg. There was no regular open sharing during this meeting. The remainder of the mtg was devoted to the Special Business at hand. This mtg was recorded so that our group secretary could then at a later time transcribe notes, since she was unable to attend the mtg due to time zone constraints. Also any and all members who wished to can now also listen to this recording at anytime become informed or just be reminded of the mtg’s proceedings & outcome.
Attendance of the business mtg was a the following: 20 members were on the conference line at the start of the business mtg. It dropped to 14 members & then to 10 as the business mtg proceeded — then winded down & concluded at 9:31pm EST. Click the above link & listen to what transpired.
