What’s it all about……..
If you wish to and /or are having difficulty finding what you need for your recovery from your eating disorder…please call into the Phone Meeting or contact ABA directly. There are people who will understand…You are not alone.Phone Mtg Fellowships have existed for sometime. A few have been around for about 10 years. Technology sure is amazing. We hopeless addicts seeking recovery must go to any lengths. Isn’t it great that there were those that came before us and blazed the trail for phone meetings. I sure think they are a pretty bright idea in my opinion. This is a relatively new concept… this “ ABA Phone Fellowship”. It’s basically just utilizing the gifts of present day technology to support our individual recovery process by allowing us to connect in a “virtual meeting room”. This phone meeting allows me to reap many of the benefits of going to a live face to face ABA meeting, where I am totally understood, vs. going to another 12-Step Fellowship Meeting. Other 12-Step meetings, which share the strong recovery message, are invaluable, but connecting with, speaking with and being heard by other anorexics or bulimics is even more important. This is even more important, when there aren’t any or very few local ABA meetings to attend. Our third tradition states, “the only requirement for ABA membership is a desire to stop unhealthy eating practices”
This blog is solely created and maintained by a members of the Monday Night Phone fellowship as a method to share information about the ABA program and the opinions expressed are strictly those of the people writing them, & does not represent ABA as a whole. There is no affiliation to & or with any other 12 Step fellowships. They are solely individual observations and perspectives.
This blog’s primary purpose is informational: To share about the hope of recovery from eating disorders, and to keep phone meeting members informed about various topics in regards to recovery.
