I have been trying to dial into the Monday evening meeting twice and each time it says, “Sorry all circuits are busy now. Will you please try your call again later?”. Tonight I started calling at 8:12 p.m. to see if it was because the lines were filled up.
Please help! I really need to listen in on these meetings.
Thank you

Dear Angela,
I am very sorry that you have not been able to get onto the phonemeeting. I have heard from a few other members that they have been experiencing the same story pretty much. This has been an on and off again occurrence for our phonemeeting.(Changing service providers is something that maybe discussed at the next business mtg.)
An alternative to listening in on the phonemeeting maybe listening to the Audio files we have on this site. We have over 30 Sober speakers sharing their stories on this website. Check it out sometime.

Thank you for posting your comment. You were the first to alert me to this week’s problem. I have contacted the freeconferencecall.com people this morning and they assure us that it is a temporary situation and that members should keep trying to dial in. They also suggested that you call their toll free number if and when this happens again to you. See the directions and response the company sent to us:
Dear ABA Monday Night Phone Meeting Members,
Contact a FreeConferenceCall customer service representative by dialing toll free 877-482-5838.
Type of Issue:
Busy Signal / All Circuits Busy Message
Immediate Action or Solutions:
1. Keep trying to get through by redialing – in most cases this is a short lived temporary condition. You can dial toll free 877-482-5838 to speak to a customer service representative.
What Causes Busy Signal or All Circuits Busy Messaging:
1. Your local or long distance carrier not having capacity
2. Our network carrier not having capacity
3. The bridge is full
Again, I am sorry that you have been unable to attend the phonemeetings.
Hang in there. .Keep reading ABA recovery literature and using the other ABA tools of recovery and keep dialing in….. It will all work its self out somehow.
Wishing you a sober, HP centered day.
Darlene

Dear Andrea.
So sorry to hear that. I’ve often had problems with this stuff. Sometimes it helps to let the tone on the phone ring a little bit longer before you dial…
another thing… I don’t know if the time works for you but Friday has a different phone number that might work better.
Sometimes changing phones also helped for me.
Hope any of this helps
Love,
Ósk
